What made you realize you wanted to be a writer?

I have loved writing and telling stories ever since I was a little kid. I told stoies before I could write or even walk well. I loved the fact that I could do anything I wanted to with my story and there were no consequences. The characters could be exactly who I wanted them to be, the problems could be exactly how I designed them to be, and everything was completly in my control. Then later I discovered my love for poetry, only about a few years ago, when I began to understand how much meaning it could have to a person.  I like to use poetry as an emotional outlet and form of personal expression.
