What made you realize you wanted to be a writer?

I've been writing for as long as I can remember. I don't quite recall why I wanted to be a writer back then, but I do understand what draws me to being a writer now: I love words, and the power of them. Words can build or destroy worlds, can create or kill people. Words can move you, make you inspired or break your heart. I write because I want that power, to be able to captivate people with my words. To have a voice, to have a say in how the narrative flows. I line in a town where I blend in and nothing that I do or say really holds weight. In my writings, however, the decisions I make and the words I use are important. That's why I am a writer.
